My name’s Lisa Danielson, and I’m the head nutritionist at IdealRaw. I’m also a certified personal trainer and have an ISSA certification in Fitness Nutrition. I often see a common struggle among many of my clients deal with as they work on improving their health — lack of energy.
With how busy our lives are, all while throwing exercise into the schedule, our energy can drain pretty quickly. Most of us cope with morning cups of coffee, afternoon energy drinks, or sodas.
IdealRaw Organic Matcha Tea is the solution to those midday caffeine crashes. It’s made from the entire green tea leaf, which means you get amazing benefits: antioxidants, naturally occurring caffeine, and L-theanine — an amino acid that prevents those caffeine “jitters.”
And the fact that Idealraw Organic Matcha Tea is culinary grade means that you can add this healthy energy to a variety of foods and recipes. It’s as versatile as it is helpful.
You know the routine. Pry your eyelids open as the sun slowly rises, roll awkwardly out of bed, and drag your tired body through the day as you attempt to complete every responsibility that stands between you and bed.
We all have those days where we just feel like we’re on autopilot and our brain’s back home tucked under the covers. With idealRaw Organic Matcha Tea, though, a refreshing and natural boost to our step is a welcomed change.
Matcha is the new coffee:
With IdealRaw Organic Matcha, you get more than your average green tea benefits. You get the whole leaf providing you everything you need for a productive day.
IdealRaw Organic Matcha Tea is a special form of green tea. The tea leaf is grown, harvested, and processed in a special way. About three weeks before harvesting, green tea plants are grown in the shade, which allows for a higher concentration of caffeine and L-Theanine to be produced, as well as a higher chlorophyll content. The tea plants then have the stems and veins removed. Afterward, the leaves are dried in their entirety and ground into a fine powder. This allows for a much higher nutrient content than your typical green tea extract found in tea bags.
Matcha has a creamy plantlike taste, occasionally with an astringent taste, depending on the grade of tea. Temperature of water and the powder to water ratio can affect how strong the flavor is as well.
Matcha tea can be used in a number of ways! Including but not limited to:
Matcha contains roughly 30-35g of caffeine per tsp, which is about one-third the caffeine as a cup of coffee.
4-6 hours of mild energy.
EGCg stands for epigallocatechin gallate. It’s a powerful antioxidant found in teas and some foods. It boosts your immune system, aids in weight loss, and protect you against some diseases.
Many people replace coffee for matcha in the morning to get them going. Many drink it when they need to have focus. It is a very personal choice (although before bed would not be advisable).
